My specialty is imagery for small business. I provide captivating images for realtors, hotels & restaurants, small products, retail stores, and various types of commercial enterprise.  Additionally, I create interactive 360 by 180 degree panoramas and sets of 360 degree panoramas connected into virtual tours. These are currently in high demand for hotels and real estate.  Stills, slideshows and video are all available, and I will ensure that you have the correct type files tailored properly for web use and for print media.

I have gravitated to commercial and real estate photography because I find something very satisfying about this niche.  Of course I shoot landscapes, cityscapes, portraits, etc., but for the business of photography I particularly enjoy widgets, homes, architecture, corporate needs, and the like.

Like many people, I have loved photography since I was very young. As kids my friend Errick and I would save our nickels and dimes until we could buy a roll of Kodachrome 25. It had to be slide film because we couldn’t afford to get prints. This turned out to be excellent training because slide films have such narrow latitude for exposure. Today we live in a digital world; much has changed, but the fun remains!

Photography is my second career. I taught high school in the San Diego area. My first degree was in Music with minors in Humanities and English. Later I studied programming and taught computer courses. My masters degree is in an area called Instructional Technology which deals with problem solving in business and industry.

When I am not behind the camera or working with image editing software, you might find me enjoying amateur (ham) radio.  Here I am at the controls of radio station NZ5H.  Yeah, that’s a Morse code key I’m using. Out of the radio shack I volunteer for emergency communications duty at local events such as the Boston Marathon and the Run of the Charles kayak race.
